Stevi has had the opportunity to ride many "once in a lifetime" horses during her career including Cuatro Fame (Truck), Morning Traffic (Martini), MCM Im A Sharp Guy (Sharpie), Famous Lemon Drop (Lemon Drop), Sand In My Socks (Sandy), and Slick By Design (Slick). She has earned a reputation of being an effective horsewoman by training and/or seasoning horses to compete at a high level as well as a good jockey capable of jump-riding the promising, but sometimes challenging horses.
Stevi and Ty have a passion for horses and have developed a breeding and training program on their ranch in Texas. When they are not traveling and competing, they spend most of their days riding young horses at home and seasoning them by hauling to local jackpots. Because of Ty's background in team roping, they choose to give their young horses many jobs including roping as they believe that teaching horses how to do different jobs is important to their foundation for learning.
Stevi has an incredible ability to watch a horse and rider and help the rider understand what they can do to help their horse. When time allows, she offers private and semi-private lessons, as well as clinics and mentorships.
